Western wildfires causing smoky skies in W MI

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Hazy skies have been prevalent across West Michigan as dozens of fires burn in the western United States and Canada, and the smoke is being seen in nearly all 48 lower states.

The fires covering 1.8 million acres are concentrated in the states of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana.
