Ribbon cut on Jenison's Kids First school

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Jenison Public Schools held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday evening to celebrate the opening of its first new school in nearly 50 years.

The new Kids First building is on Baldwin Street near 28th Avenue. With 36 classrooms, it will house the early childhood and Spanish immersion programs.

The early childhood center used to be in the former Maplewood Elementary on Connie Street. That space will now be used by the Jenison International Academy and the district's robotics program.
