3 arrested on drug charges in Ionia Co.

OTISCO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Three people were arrested on multiple charges after drugs were found in a vehicle during a traffic stop.

It happened Thursday on Zahm Road in Otisco Township, south of Greenville.

An Ionia County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a vehicle and discovered marijuana inside of it. The deputy also found paraphernalia commonly associated with using heroin in possession of one of the passengers.

All three people were taken into custody on drug charges at the Ionia County Jail. When they arrived at the jail, investigators discovered each of them gave false information about their identification.

Authorities also discovered 28-year-old Latina Millen of Greenville was found attempting to smuggle heroin into the jail. Millen was arraigned on charges of possession of heroin, furnishing contraband to prisoners and possession of marijuana.

Justin Jenkins, 29, was charged with possession of marijuana and giving false information to a police officer. He also had several outstanding warrants for his arrest.
