SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was arrested after authorities say he sprayed two hotel employees with a fire extinguisher Tuesday night.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. at the Days Inn located in the 2700 block of C Drive in Sheridan Township, near Albion.

Deputies say the suspect sprayed a fire extinguisher in the hallways then hit vehicles in the parking lot with canister. He also sprayed two employees with the extinguisher.

Bystanders were able to restrain the man until deputies arrived on scene.

The employees received minor injuries, but one was taken to the hospital for respiratory issues.
