Man charged for threats to shoot up GR business

IONIA, Mich. (WOOD) — An Ionia County man is facing charges after he allegedly made threats to shoot multiple people at a business in Grand Rapids. 

The Ionia County Sheriff’s Office said 36-year-old Jason Duane Proper was arraigned Thursday on the following felony charges:

  • Aggravated stalking;
  • Using a computer to commit a crime;
  • False report of a threat of terrorism;
  • Using a computer to commit a crime;
  • Felon in possession of a firearm;
  • Felon in possession of ammunition;
  • Fleeing and eluding police;
  • Resisting and obstructing police.
