BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two people involved in an armed bank robbery in downtown Byron Center.
It happened around 1:16 p.m. Friday at the Huntington Bank located on the northeast corner of 84th Street and Byron Center Avenue.
Authorities say the robber pulled out a nickle-colored revolver as he approached the teller and demanded money. It's unclear how much money he got away with, but no one was hurt.
"It was very, very quick. He may have loitered out front for a period of time prior to (the robbery). The bank was fairly empty when he went in, so he was in and out relatively quickly," said Sgt. Joel Room with the sheriff's office.
