Muskegon mom accused of OD'ing with child in car charged

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — A Muskegon County mother accused of overdosing in a car with her 4-year-old daughter in tow is facing child abuse charges.

Lacie Marie Collins of Twin Lake is charged with second-degree child abuse in connection to the Feb. 23 incident, which happened at a Muskegon city park.

Maat says Collins took heroin while her daughter was in the car and was unconscious when officers arrived. It’s believed the child was in the car for three hours before authorities arrived and rescued her.
