KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — The father of twin babies allegedly abused by their mother says he “hopes she gets what she deserves.”
Jennifer Mohler was formally charged Wednesday with felony murder and two counts of first-degree child abuse in connection to the death of her 5-month-old son and injuries to his brother.
The father of Mohler’s children spoke after her court hearing. He was also Mohler’s step-father 13 years ago.
Judge Tiffany Ankley denied bond for Mohler, calling the allegations she faces “very serious.”
On Jan. 31, Portage police were called to a home in the 10000 block of Woodlawn Drive for a 5-month-old reportedly having a seizure. When the infant arrived at the hospital, doctors noticed he had suspicious injuries.
