MASON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman was hospitalized after hitting a tree on Monday in Cass County.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. on Monday on Mason Street, east of Gordon Road.
Authorities said the driver was traveling east on Mason Street when she lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree. The crash forced the vehicle to overturn and come to rest on its side in the road.
The woman had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital by MedFlight.
Authorities said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
