Burning smell prompts emergency landing at Ford Airport

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - An Allegiant flight from the Ford International Airport to Orlando had to turn around and make an emergency landing last night after a burning smell was detected in the cabin.

The plane was seen back at GRR after 6 p.m.

No one was hurt.

Airline officials say they don't yet know what caused the smell.

The airline put all the passengers on another plane and gave each of them travel and meal vouchers.
