GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Thousands are currently without power following severe weather in the region this morning.
Consumers Energy says more than 89,000 customers statewide were without electricity as of 7 a.m.
The utility is urging people to call 911, then the utility if downed power lines are found.
Much of West Michigan was placed under a severe thunderstorm watch or warning by the National Weather Service.
