The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a Christmas morning robbery at a Holland Township gas station. It says detectives identified 22-year-old Austin Buter of Zeeland as the man who held up the Oasis Mobile Mart on Adams Street. They say Buter was video arraigned in district court on Wednesday.
According to a news release, the charges were for unarmed robbery and Habitual Offender - 4th Offense. Police say Buter walked up to a 45-year-old female clerk and threw a cup of hot coffee in her face, and then stole money from the cash register before taking off.
Buter remains in the Ottawa County Jail.
