OLIVE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Ofice is warning people of a fake tax letter that's being sent to homes and businesses.
It says it's a "distraint warrant" from the county's "tax resolution unit," but deputies say that's not a real agency within the county.
Victims are being told to throw the letter out.
Investigators are trying to determine where the mailings are coming from.
