A fundraiser later this month has a goal of supporting children as it highlights Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month.
Court Appointed Special Advocates is a group that partners trained individuals with neglected or abused children.
CASA President and CEO Patty Sabin says the community needs to know there are over 10,000 children in foster care.
The fundraiser called Stronger with Blue will be held on April 26 from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Thousand Oaks Golf Club.
Attendees are being asked to wear blue to honor the cause.
