Fremont Police Chief takes deal in sex assault case

The former police chief of Fremont took a plea agreement in a sexual assault case in court on Wednesday.

Randall Wright was accused of touching a woman inappropriately in June of 2019.

The incident allegedly occurred on a bus trip to a Tiger's game with the Fraternal Order of Police.

Wright was placed on administrative leave when the investigation was launched in 2019.

He was fired when formal charges were announced.
