The Rockford Lions Club and Rockford Rotary Club raise money for the community through can drives.
However, recently people have been stealing the cans from trailers that are set up throughout the community.
In total, several hundred dollars worth of cans have been stolen.
Kim Neveau, president of the Rockford Lions Club, says the trailer at Choice One Bank on 10 Mile Road was half full on Thursday but was empty on Saturday.
