DETROIT (WOOD-AM) - Frank Beckmann, the long-time voice of Michigan football, has died at the age of 72.
Beckmann was the voice of the Wolverines for 33 years.
WJR-AM, Beckmann long-time employer, said on Sunday that he had a rare brain disease and suffered multiple strokes.
He died Saturday in hospice care in Clarkston.
