SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - While getting their mail on Thursday night, a person was hit by a vehicle outside of Athens.
Responding emergency crews said that an oncoming driver on M-60 after dark was trying to avoid hitting a car parked the wrong way.
The driver thought the car was oncoming traffic, and swerved to avoid the car, hitting the vehicle's driver.
Michigan State Police says the victim was take on the hospital, and is listed in stable condition.
