D.A. Blodgett St. John's is showing support for the LGBT community after the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services settled a lawsuit with a private child welfare agency this week.
The lawsuit was filed in 2019 when Michigan announced it would no longer work with agencies that refused to work with same-sex couples.
D.A. Blodgett St. John's president and CEO Mary Muliett says their organization supports all families in the state especially at a time when foster care and adoption is needed more than ever.
Muliett says over 10,000 children are in the foster care system and she believes love makes a family.
