WMU to fine students who miss COVID-19 testing

Western Michigan University will fine unvaccinated students who miss a required test starting during the spring semester.

WMU said before the start of the fall semester that 40 percent of students and 66.4 percent of employees were vaccinated against COVID-19.

Individuals who are not vaccinated are required to test for COVID-19 regularly.

The school says for each missed test, a $50 fine will be assessed.
