GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Threats are prompting school closures throughout the region and state.
Watervliet, Ionia, Big Rapids, Chippewa Hills and Fruitport schools are closed today "out of an abundance of caution."

Following the deadly shooting at Oxford High School this week, dozens of schools on the east side of the state are closed for simliar reasons.
