Former Grand Haven assistant superintendent wanted for embezzlement

Officials are looking for former Grand Haven Area Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Brian Wheeler, who is believed to have embezzled over $100,000.

The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety says he is wanted for one count of embezzlement and one count of using a computer to commit a crime.

The investigation has been ongoing since earlier this month.

A forensic audit will reveal how much money was taken.

Officials believe Wheeler may have fled the area in a 2013 cream Buick Enclave with the license plate DTH 1844 or in a 2005 Monaco motorhome with license plate EKE 7580.
