The Blue Bridge in Grand Rapids is glowing purple to mark Epilepsy Awareness Month.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan hosted an event for families who live with epilepsy to draw attention to their cause.
Studies show 1 in 26 people will develop some form of epilepsy in their life while 1 in 10 will have a seizure in their lifetime.
Over 110,000 Michiganders live with epilepsy.
