KENTWOOD (WOOD-AM) - The Kent County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting involving a Kentwood police officer last night.
It happened at a home on Grantwood Avenue. Officers say there was an active fight there when they arrived on scene before 10:30 p.m.
A 60-year-old man, who reportedly was wielding a knife, was shot and died at the scene.
One person is hospitalized in stable condition with stab wounds. A second person was treated at the scene for minor knife wounds.
