The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development says it found eight skimmers at gas stations.
Officials are reminding drivers to be observant when they fill their gas tank.
Many gas stations perform routine checks for skimmers and use tape to show the pumps haven't been tampered with.
Three of the skimmers were found at gas stations in West Michigan.
