NILES (WOOD-AM) - A Michigan State Police trooper and a suspect are both hospitalized after being shot during a traffic stop on ninth street in Niles last night.
The trooper was shot in the leg. The three-year veteran is expected to live.
The suspect's injuries are said to be severe.
