GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Danny McNees pleaded guilty to assault with intent to murder in connection to an attack on an 11-year-old boy in February 2020. '
The Grand Rapids Police Department says McNees used a utility knife in the incident at the Walnut Grove Apartments on Sheffield Street in the Black Hills neighborhood.
McNees is from Holland but has lived in Grand Rapids for about six years and was homeless at the time. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 25.
