High arsenic levels found in drinking water near Wayland

Residents are on high alert in a Barry County mobile home park over potentially toxic drinking water.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy says the water supply serving the Yankee Springs Meadows community tested for arsenic levels above the drinking water standard.

The samples were taken during quarterly testing in July.

However, residents were just told about the results this week.
