Kent County health officer threatened over mask order

The Kent County Health Department chief officer says someone tried to run him off the highway after he issued a school mask mandate.

Administrative Health Officer Adam London told Kent County commissioners about the incident in an email on August 22.

The mandate, requiring students in preschool through sixth grade to wear a mask while at school, raised strong feelings among those who opposed it.

London says he will no longer make public appearances due to concerns of violence.
