GALESBURG (WOOD-AM) - A Kalamazoo County Sheriff's deputy has died after being shot during a Saturday night police chase.
Ryan Proxmire was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being shot near Galesburg.
He was pronounced dead yesterday afternoon. The suspect was killed in a gunfight in law enforcement after losing control of his vehicle.
A vigil was held on Sunday.
