GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Children at 38 schools across the region can get a free pair of athletic shoes before they head back to the class.
It’s part of the Shoes Help Our Elementary Students program put on each year by a non-profit.
The program has been serving the region since 1996.
