The East Grand Rapids School District has one of the highest vaccination rates in the state according to the Kent County Health Department.
The department says 95 percent of individuals ages 12-17 in East Grand Rapids have received their COVID-19 vaccines.
The school says as a result, students will be able to go without masks this fall.
The county says it is working to expand outreach to help other districts increase their percentages.
