Meijer looking to add diverse product suppliers

Meijer is looking to add product lines to store shelves from Michigan businesses owned by people who are Black, from the Indigenous community or other people of color.

The company is working with Start Garden to hold an event in September for suppliers to showcase their products for a chance to land on shelves in stores.

Kavy Lenon, the supplier diversity manager with Meijer, says they are ensuring they allow opportunities for the BIPOC community to showcase products that are ready for stores.

Anyone interested should apply by August 27.
