BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Firefighters in Battle Creek are working to determine what sparked two separate fires Thursday afternoon and early Friday morning.
One fire happened before 5 p.m. Thursday on W. Van Buren Street, with the second started at 1:20 a.m. Friday morning on Nelson Street.
Total damage between the two houses is estimated to around $280,000.
