New legislation signed into law this week will regulate delta-8 THC, a synthetic substance.
The substance produces a high similar to marijuana and is derived from hemp.
It was previously not regulated in the state.
As of October 11, retailers will not be able to sell delta-8 unless they are a state-licensed provisioning facility.
