GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - The Grand Rapids Fire Department says two people in the city suffered firework-related injuries over the Independence Day weekend.
One was a teenager.
"A young teen who unfortunately had a firework go off in his hand and it’s a devastating injury," Lieutenant Bill Smith told WOOD-TV.
The second person was hit in the face with a mortar.
