KENTWOOD (WOOD-AM) - A man who police say fired a rifle while shouting in the street is in stable condition after getting shot by a Kentwood police officer at a condominium complex on 44th yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 3 p.m.
The man is now in police custody at a hospital.
The officer has been placed on administrative leave while the Kent County Sheriff's Office conducts an investigation.
