The Garfield Park Neighborhood Association is taking matters into their own hands and are fighting against illegal fireworks.
The neighborhood near Burton Street and Eastern Avenue is handing out signs to people in the area, with the rules for lighting fireworks.
The rules are Fourth of July specific and detail the displays can only take place between June 29 and July 4 form 11 a.m. until 11:45 p.m.
If rules aren't followed, a $1,000 fine can be enforced.
