Troopers find over $1M of meth during traffic stop

A traffic stop on June 4 in Van Buren County led to a large meth bust.

Michigan State Police pulled over a car on I-196 near Covert due to driving with an expired Georgia license plate.

Two people in the car were acting suspicious so troopers searched the car and found 50 kilograms of meth.

This was the largest meth bust ever in southwest Michigan for MSP officers.
