Western Michigan University is announcing they are receiving a historic $550 million donation.
WMU President Edward Montgomery says the generous gift will revolutionize the impact and inclusiveness of their educational community for generations to come.
The largest portion of the funds will go to the WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine.
Over $200 million will go toward funding academic and room and board scholarships.
