ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - A Civil War statue in a township park should be removed and replaced - that's what a citizen committee created by the Allendale Township board said last night.
They say it should be replaced by a statue of three Union soldiers: One white, one black and one Native American.
The current statue, which has been at the center of recent protest and controversy, depicts a Union soldier, a Confederate soldier and a slave child.
