Kent County currently has 44 murder cases awaiting trial.
Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker says there's no word on when the cases will before a jury.
Becker says the courts are discussing bringing retired judges back to help with the load but they are unsure if there will be enough prosecutors.
When trials resume, the court plans to have one per week.
