GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Reaction is mixed to the governor's plan to link the reduction or elimination of pandemic restrictions to coronavirus vaccination rates.
At 60 percent, funeral homes, conference centers, banquet halls and stadiums can open at 25 percent capacity. That's good news for the West Michigan Whitecaps.
"Twenty-five percent just feels better after we’re done crunching the numbers and getting right down to running the business of baseball," team spokesperson Steve VanWagoner said.
Others aren't happy, though. Bing Goei, who operates the Goei Center, says his livelihood shouldn't be linked to the personal decisions of others.
"Other people are now controlling the ability for me to provide for my family, to provide for my employees," Goei said.
