Thousands Expected at West Michigan Vaccine Clinic for Follow-up Shots

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Officials at the West Michigan Vaccine Clinic say they're expecting today to be busy.

Thousands of people who got their first coronavirus vaccine shots three weeks ago are returning for their second doses today.

"We’ll see about 12,000 to 12,500,” Spectrum Health Grand Rapids Chief Operating Officer Brian Brasser told WOOD-TV.

Still, there are thousands of open appointment slots. Health officials are urging people to get vaccinated. Appointments can be scheduled here.
