MDHHS extends current order requiring masks, adds young children

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is extending the current epidemic order through May 24.

The order remained mostly the same outside of a change to mask requirements.

The latest version is requiring that children ages 2-4 wear a mask in group settings or at daycare.

The state says the guidance comes from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and American Academy of Pediatrics.
