GR using scooters to help those with transportation barriers

The city of Grand Rapids is using scooters throughout the city to help those facing transportation barriers.

The assistant director of Mobile GR, Justin Kimura, says they are funding 650 passes that will give users three months of access.

Riders will be able to use five 30-minute rides each day over the course of the three months.

The scooters normally cost $1 to unlock and 15 cents per minute.
