EDMORE (WOOD-AM) - Michigan State Police say a man in his 30s is dead after a standoff with authorities in Montcalm County on Sunday.
Troopers say he fired at them when they arrived at the scene near Edmore around 4:30 p.m. He then barricade himself inside a barn.
His dead body was discovered inside the barn a few hours later.
At this stage, the man's exact cause of death isn't known. His body has been sent to a medical examiner.
