Plunging temperatures in Texas is driving up gas prices in Grand Rapids.
On Tuesday, GasBuddy.com said the cold weather froze nearly 20 percent of oil refinery production causing a jump in prices.
Prices are also starting to climb as demand recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gas prices in Grand Rapids started at $2.43 a gallon increasing to $2.65 per gallon by Tuesday afternoon.
