Public health officials say Kalamazoo County has confirmed one person has contracted the more contagious COVID-19 variant strain B.1.1.7
The Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services Department says the 80-year-old woman has no travel history.
The department will be conducting contact tracing to isolate those who were close to the patient recently.
