The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is confirming 1,476 new cases of COVID-19 and 79 deaths.
Of the 79 deaths, 44 were confirmed during records checks.
State labs tested at a positivity rate of 7.09 percent on Monday, which is slightly higher than recent numbers.
Kent County recorded 148 cases and three deaths.
